Graduate
With a willing to work, learn and add new ideas and enthusiasm, the graduate is an asset to any company. But who gets the cream of the crop?
This isn't a simple matter of a wage fight with your competitors, graduates are much more savvy than that. They want to know what you're going to do for them, what’s their career path. What 'fast track' programmes you have in place for them. And why not, they've been working towards this moment for years. This is their career after all.
Graduate attraction should start long before the end of Uni, it should be an ongoing process, building confidence with the students as you go. The last thing that your company needs is for your future talent to be swept off their feet by your competitors.
Every campaign is different, which is why we always assume nothing and start from scratch each and every time. Given the increasing fees students are paying for their degree, graduates are very selective with the careers they pursue, so persuading them you’re the number one company to work for is not always an easy task - what you think is appealing to them may well be the very reason they’re not applying (we've seen this happen).
Graduate campaigns have different goals too, some have comprehensive management programmes, others require volumes for casual work. As we said, different every time, just like our ideas.
The best graduates will future proof your organisation, but remember the best ones go quick, so don’t just wait for a knock at your door.
